 sitting on my escritoire, being engulfed by a plethora of thoughts, I decided to write something clincher

but maybe the title in itself is an ironical cliche

Being a Bengali, I have seen people call their girl child by the name ‘pakhi’, but question still lies that

Is the name justified with the context of the Indian society?

A country in which the girl child is only seen as a “child manufacturing machine”

How shameful is this that the people who worship “Maa Durga” or other deities, does not allow their girl child to enter temple premises in her periods,

Elegy of life goes on when the girl feels claustrophobic of the fact of being a girl

I am not a true  feminist, but I have seen that

Yes, it's very hard for the girl child to follow their dreams, mostly in villages and small towns

Somehow the parents are also responsible because most of them feels that getting their child married to a good son in law is their ultimate responsibility in life

Sorry to say, they just want to elope of the responsibility of their girl

Instead of thinking her as an encumbrance, they should raise her in such a way that even the strongest of men fears her,

esprit de corps, which means feel proud of your child,  

Egalitarian view is a must in today’s era, stop generalizing between a “girl thing” and a “boy thing”,

In recent times, we have  mammoth stories which suggest that if the girl gets a little support from the family,

Sky is the limit for her then

Yes, I  do agree that the situations are moving towards a positive ray,

But then there should always be a strive to achieve more,  

With respect to the girl,

Yes, you must also realize the fact that ours been men dominating society since pre-ancient times,

But every cloud has a silver lining,

Now that, situations are changing, we must adopt so that our future generation at least does not suffer from the myths of the society,

There should never be a discussion on the cleft of being men or women

As it is said, men and women are the two wheels necessary to run the cosmos, if one of them fails it leaves with it, a void, that is irreplaceable

Extrapolation is a necessity, rather I would like to draw a question

a good girlfriend, a good wife, a “sanskari bahu”, a good mother

then why not a good daughter?
