Like a boomerang

First cry, first agony
he was at his age too,
now he was on the other side
watch his child echoed him
teary eyes;
he now knew what his father felt
he realised,
like a boomerang, everything comes back

his child’s first day at school,
he recalled his time,
nothing has changed,
except for the few wrinkles on his face
now he realised why his father gave a goodbye kiss,
he realised
like a boomerang, everything comes back

his 16 years old child scolded him,
he could see himself
peeped through  his child’s eyes,
he sensed what his father felt,
when he told him
“dad, you are too old-fashioned”
He realised, why his father didn’t say a word
He realised,
Like a boomerang, everything comes back

his child’s first accomplishment,
he felt more accomplished,
his happiness knew no bound,
now, he realised why his father cried
now he realised
like a boomerang, everything comes back

his child’s marriage,
he never felt so relieved,
his last big responsibility was over,
now, he could feel the cornucopia
what his father must have felt,
now he realised,
like a boomerang, everything comes back

one fine day,
he was about to fall,
his child grabbed him, though,
flashback of  his life,
nothing has  changed much;
except, now his tricycle was replaced by a wheelchair,
now, his child took his father’s place
nostalgia hit him hard,
he realised, why his father didn’t want him to go abroad,
now he realised,
like a boomerang, everything comes back

Happy :)
